Landscaped Clear Water Swimming Pool and Garden

Prior to makeover, the customer had an exising swimming pool and patio which were both worn and dated. Furthermore, the pool required treatment with chemicals prior to every use - making spontaneous use on a lovely sunny day cumbersome.

These practical difficulties, combined with the environmental implications lead the client to seek a modern 'clear-water' system, which uses natural filtration methods to keep the water clean.

Managing a Team Project

After discussing different options, we put the customer in touch with a trusted garden designer with whom we work. She subsequently took over the artistic layout of the new pool and garden.

Upon a design being agreed, we came back on board to figure out how to make the visual concept a reality, responsible for sourcing all the materials. Installation of the clear water pool required use of a manufacturer-approved contractor, so we collaborated with a 3rd party for it's installation, working together in landscaping and excavation to make reality the visual design.

New stone was bespoke-cut and imported from China for its particular characteristics (see gallery for stone schematic) again using an approved supplier for reasons of health and safety. The original patio and pool were removed, and new excavation was made to support the pipework and layering of natural materials used to filter the pool.

Finally, decking and planting were sub-contracted to finish the final design.
