Turfing is often required where an existing lawn has become damaged or where soft landscaping is being expanded. We supply high quality natural or artificial turfing and lay them to exacting standards.

Re-laying of turf is often required when grass is in very poor condition, either destroyed by pets or weeds and moss have taken over. You may have tried treating or feeding it but nothing has worked. Likewise, ground can sometimes become uneven after bad weather.

Your only option may be to create a new lawn, and experience and knowledge is required to achieve the best, long lasting results.

Turfing solutions

Natural turf

When we install a new lawn we only use high quality Rowlawn Medallion seeded turf.

For installation we carefully follow the recommended procedure:

Existing turf is first removed
Then a 2-3 inch layer of loam (a mixture of compost soil and sand) is imported and carefully compacted. This ensures an excellent growing medium for the new lawn, with appropriate drainage and falls.
Slow release fertiliser is then spread over the surface proir to finally rolling out the new turf.

You then just add water and watch it grow.

Imitation turf

Sometimes very low maintenance is the top priority over the use of natural seed, and in these circumstances we can install imitation turf. We use can supply and install high quality Astroturf to meet these needs.
